Looking for even more shine? Take everything from our Protective Exterior (described above), and mix in a light single stage of machine polishing. This service will create a clearer finish that restores a truer color to the paint. Swirls may be reduced, depending on the vehicle. Not only that, but a second layer of silica sealant is applied- buttery slick to the touch and supremely glossy!

Protective Exterior

Paint and glass surfaces are rinsed and hand washed with pH neutral soaps and soft microfiber/wool mitts- all using our RO/DI filtered water. Wheels and liners are also cleaned by hand with acid-free cleaners, removing brake dust and road grime. Door sills (including the gas door, trunk and hood) are flushed and wiped clean. Exterior surfaces are then treated to a round of chemical process (IronX, TarX, etc.), followed by a gentle polymer-clay bar to remove embedded contaminants.
A light re-wash and rinsing occur before application of a silica-based sealant, across all exterior surfaces. Exhaust tips are polished, too!

This service is designed for vehicles that have previously undergone Arete paint correction services, or newer vehicles with paint in generally good condition, looking to maintain a scratch-free finish.
It’s one of our most common “maintenance” details, occurring on a seasonal schedule (before and after winter), or a yearly visit for vehicles well cared for. If you have a ceramic coated vehicle, this is the service you’re looking for if a decontamination is needed!

Hand Wash

What sets a Hand Wash by a professional detailer apart? A series of choices- the water we use, the materials that touch your car, and the process that brings it all together.
Paint and glass surfaces are rinsed and hand washed with pH neutral soaps and soft microfiber/wool mitts- all using our RO/DI filtered water. Wheels and liners are also cleaned by hand with acid-free cleaners, removing brake dust and road grime. Door sills (including the gas door, trunk and hood) are flushed and wiped clean. Gentle air pushes water off the vehicle and out of crevices, so that we spend less time touching the vehicle.

A hand wash is recommended once or twice a month at a minimum, based on your usage of the vehicle. We offer a free assessment to see if your vehicle could benefit from a Protective Exterior or Paint Correction.
(Does not include clay bar treatment, necessary in the removal of heavy or bonded contaminants (e.g. tar, sap, rail dust)

Not all stains and dye transfer can be removed fully; bug strikes and bird droppings can permanently etch the paint, and some scratches are too deep to remove fully- improvement is usually possible, and we will work towards the best possible result!
